Gov’t pledges substantial assistance to enterprises



VietNamNet Bridge – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has pledged to speed up administrative reforms, intensify infrastructure investments and give a hand in personnel training for enterprises to help them increase competitive edges.

“The Government will create best available conditions for businesses to develop in a sustainable way,” confirmed the Government leader at a conference of the best enterprises of 2008.

He asked relevant agencies to continue tightening monetary policies while handling their work flexibly so as to ensure the economic liquidity.

Dung also called for strong assistance to small and medium enterprises through preferential taxes and soft loans.

On the other hand, the Government leader spoke out his expectations from the business circles to contribute an important part to the national industrialization and modernization.

“Enterprises should scrutinise their business plans to gear towards the best use of raw materials, low labour and production costs while expanding outlets and boosting production,” he emphasised.

The PM asked enterprises to pay special attention to their staffs’ competence through both self-done human resource development and basing themselves on the Vietnam Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
